The track was in great shape - ran Aaron's '87 LX on motor only - his nitrous switch went out and my clutch is still slipping - got to get that fixed - the firewall adjuster is my next step after the new Ford cable seems a bit long.

8.09, 8.11, 8.12, 8.15, 8.16 all at 86+mph on five runs... pretty consistent - the nitrous is usually good for .5-.7 seconds so back to the mid-7s next time hopefully.

Those are really consistent times, especially with a clutch (and a slipping one too)! Thanks for posting. The pics add a nice touch.

oops.... I didn't run mine due to the clutch issue....... this was Aaron's titanium LX..... with a Lentech strip terminator transmission..... I'm not near that consistent with the 5-speed!

If interested I have a like new Steeda Aluminum Firewall adjuster I bet we could make a deal on? I also have a Steeda aluminum Clutch Quadrant I bought at the same time, if you would like to relpace the factory Plastic/Nylon piece. I had to go to a quick release quadrant and different kind of Firewall adjuster after my accident so I could still fully disengage the clutch. Both pieces are in like new condition.

Shoot.... I bought mine too soon..... and online so returning would involve shipping charges...... I already have an aluminum quadrant on..... but since you mentioned you have these available, I hope one of the other club members will take advantage of them...... I put them on my Cobra and the combination made a great difference from the factory plastic pieces......

How much & will they work on a 93?

4-Timer 02-24-2009 05:31 PM

the Steeda parts are advertised as '83-'04 so they should work..... I used these same pieces on my 2001 Cobra...... Ford hasn't changed much in the clutch activation area for all of those years evidently......
